Longer Levels

Lets Play Some Poker

We will never have 12 minute shovefest levels, in any of our tournaments. Our shortest levels will be 15 minutes. We want to be player friendly and this was one of the biggest complaints and one of the easiest to solve. 

More Chips

Mmmmmm Chips

You come out to play poker, and it's hard to play good poker without chips. Play Poker Chicago will offer more chips especially for our DoorBuster Tournament. We also will offer a add-on during the first breaks of most tournaments. 

Start on Time

Lets Get the Cards Flying

We will start our tournaments on-time. If the posted start time is 100P expect to get there a bit early to check-in, because cards will fly on-time. Registration is open until the end of the first break for most tournaments.

9-Handed

The Professional Way

Play Poker Chicago will play 9 Handed tables for all of our tournaments after the first break. This will give you more elbow room and better play. Most of the big tournaments play 9-handed and so do we.

Player Counts

Honesty is the Best Policy

We will be very up front about player counts in our tournaments. We have nothing to hide and we won't short-change the prize pool. 

Clocks

Everyone Gets a Clock

We are going to be like Oprah.... but with clocks instead of cars. You get a clock... you get a clock.... everyone gets a clock! EVERY tournament will have a clock. It will feature average player chip counts and more information that you need to play your best.

More Payouts

15% of Players Get paid

Payouts will be posted after registration closes for each tournament. 15% - 20% of players will be in the money. So if there are 60 players in a tournament, 9 players will be paid by Play Poker Chicago compare that to our competition that only would pay 7. 

Pre-Pay 

Save Time, Skip the Line

We will offer a pre-pay option for all of our tournaments, If you pre-pay you'll be able to skip the line and go straight to your tournament seat where a 500 bonus chip will be waiting for you. This will also help us with planning, if we have an idea of how many players are playing we'll always have enough tournament seats and dealers for you. 

League & Series

Unique Features

THE Poker League will be a 13-week league format, where you'll earn weekly bonus chips for the final game where the prize pool should be over $10,000.00 and include a seat to a major Main Event. 

THE Series will be held twice a year and will lead up to our Play Poker Chicago Main Event..... More details to come.
